Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data RedGiveaway ("the bot", "we") collects when you add it to a Discord server or use its commands, how it is used, and your choices. By using the bot you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

• Server data: server (guild) and channel IDs, and settings admins configure, such as greeting messages and greeting channels.
• Giveaway data: message IDs, prize, end time, number of winners, host ID, and the IDs of users who entered or won.
• User IDs: Discord user IDs of members who enter or host giveaways, or join a server with greetings enabled.
• Error logs: technical details used to fix bugs, which may include the IDs of the server, channel or command involved.

Message content

The bot reads messages only to detect its commands (such as !gstart and !greet) and to process reaction entries. It does not store the content of your messages and cannot read direct messages between users.

How we use data

To run, end and reroll giveaways; to send greetings; to keep your settings between restarts; and to diagnose errors. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We share it only with the hosting and database providers needed to run the bot, or when the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

Giveaway records are kept as long as needed to run and reroll them. When the bot is removed from a server, that server's data can be deleted on request. You can ask us to delete data linked to your user ID or server at any time through the support server.

Security

Data is stored with reputable hosting providers and access is limited to the bot's developer. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Discord requires users to be at least 13 (or the minimum age in their country). The bot is not intended for anyone younger and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Third-party services

The bot runs on Discord, so your use of it is also governed by Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest revision, and continuing to use the bot means you accept the changes.
